Beth McMillen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beasley-Wood/Geyer-Quillin Funeral Home - Mena on Dec. 11, 2025.
Ms. Beth McMillen, aged 90, passed away Monday, December 08, 2025, in Mena, Arkansas. She was born February 22, 1935, in Port Smith, Ohio.
Beth grew up and graduated from high school in Princeton, West Virginia. After graduation she worked as a secretary in Columbus, Ohio and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Upon her retirement she relocated to Mena, Arkansas, where she took a number of 60-plus classes at the Rich Mountain Community College. She also took broad casting classes there and volunteered at KRMN Radio and RMCC TV, where she was later hired to work in and outside the studio as a camera operator and video editor in addition to being an instructional assistant for 20 years. Beth was a very humble person, often doing most of the hard work and giving everyone else the credit. She did not drive and often walked from Church Avenue all the way to the college to perform her tasks.
Beth was an integral member of the Ouachita Little Theatre, running the front office for 10 years, and appearing in OLT productions was well as helping with all aspects of the theatre. In addition, her hobbies included knitting, baking sourdough bread, and photography. She was a devoted member of the Presbyterian Church, whose members, along with Pastor Bill supported her through her illness.
Ms. Beth McMillen passed away peacefully to her maker on December 08, 2025, under the loving care of the nurses and carers at The Green House Cottages of Homewood. A small memorial service at the Presbyterian church is being planned for later this month. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
