Beth Schramm Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 28, 2006.
Beth Schramm died peacefully, August 28, 2006 at her home in Payson surrounded by family members.

She was born September 18, 1938 in Central, Arizona to Lawrence and Thora Cluff Woodhouse. Beth was raised in Central and Mesa, Arizona. She married Gary L. Eaves on November 19, 1960. They were sealed in the Mesa Temple. Beth and Gary had four children, Susan, John, David and Randy. Gary died in 1970 and Beth moved to Payson, Utah to raise her small family.

She met and fell in love with Floyd Schramm, a widower raising four children of his own. They married in the Provo Temple on October 6, 1978 and she took into her heart Floyd's children, Rod, LouJean, Jeff and Ryan. Floyd and Beth decided that eight was not enough and they were soon joined by daughter Denise.

Beth was an active life-long member of the LDS church. She served faithfully for many years in the Relief Society and Primary. She desired to raise her children in the gospel and she was always an example of quiet faith. Beth will be remembered for her physical beauty and for the beauty she created of her surroundings. She was always gracious and serene and that was reflected in her home. Her greatest joy was her family.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Thora and Lawrence Woodhouse, her sister Gwen Hansen and by her first husband Gary Eaves.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Floyd Schramm and by their nine children; Rod (Kathleen) Schramm, LouJean (Merrill) Wilson, Susan (Jay) Peterson, John (Denise) Eaves, Jeff (Sandra) Schramm, David (Jennifer) Eaves, Ryan (Barbi) Schramm, Randy (Kim) Eaves, and Denise (Brak) Carman as well as 35 1/2 grandchildren. Beth is also survived by her sisters Ruth (Guy) Buckley, Kathie (Gerald) Slade and Helen (Lee) Hause and by brothers Bud (Carol) Woodhouse, Barry Woodhouse and Mike (Martha) Woodhouse.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt thanks to the staff of the Provo Dialysis Center for their loving care and sincere friendship over the past five years.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 1, 2006, 11:00 a.m., in the Payson 18th Ward Chapel, 482 West 1400 South. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Thursday, 6-8:00 p.m. or at the church Friday, 9:45-10:45 a.m., Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
