Betsey was the first neighbor we met when we moved into our first house in 1971. It was the beginning of a friendship that stayed through several more moves for us. Their door was always open, the brownie tin was never empty, the refrigerator a gallery of pics., the garden by their driveway always had new plants in the Spring, their porch addition became a place to rock and enjoy the sun, and her family continued to be her biggest pleasure, especially her grandchildren. We talked about her commitment to church, her P.E.O. Chapter and her trips to the Cape. Her caring for Carl and Chris made us love them too. Her opinions were definite and independence remarkable. As with Rich, our love and memories of her will always be with us. With sympathy to her family, Gayle and Dave
