Betsy J. Brown, 81 of Delaware, passed Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.
Betsy was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Evelyn Nolze. Betsy was one of four children. She attended and later graduated from Willis High School in 1962, the last class for that high school, before moving in to Hayes.
Betsy worked as a switchboard operator for Both Scioto and Riverview Girl's Correctional Facilities here in Delaware, and then was a secretary for them also. In her younger years Besty worked second shift as a 911 Dispatcher for Scioto Township. Besty was retired in 2002 after 32 years of service to her community.
Betsy is survived by her loving children Andrea Brown, Philip (Nicole Wade) Brown and Kari Brown; granddaughter Sierra Brown (a.k.a the star), along with grandsons Braydon and Isaiah Reese; sister Joy Zimmer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Betsy was preceded in death by her mother, husband Donald just 3 short months ago, and siblings Robert Zimmer and Roberta Hart.
Betsy enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels outside, enjoyed spending time in her gardens, tending to both her vegetables and flowers. She was a wonderful cook and adventurous when it came to trying new recipes. She enjoyed Jigsaw puzzles and crossword searches. She loved attending Muscle Car shows with her husband Don every year. She was an avid Ohio State Football Fan as well. Betsy will be remembered as the loving, caring and giving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister that she was.
