Betsy C. Savage

Betsy C. Savage, 99, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 in Agrace HospiceCare, Madison, WI.She was born January 11, 1926 in Evansville, WI, the daughter of Braden and Mabel (Bullock) Wolff. Betsy was a 1944 graduate of Evansville High School, Evansville, WI. She married Keith E. Savage on November 28, 1946 in Brimfield, IL. He predeceased her in June 9, 2000. The summer going into her senior year of high school, Betsy was a Rosie the Riveter during WWII on the B29 Wings. Later she was employed by Parker Pen, Beloit Corporation, Beloit Fire Department, McCleary Industries and retired from Beloit College as a secretary in 1990.She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, word searches, reading and watching tennis and basketball on television. Betsy was a volunteer for Beloit Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and served on the Auxiliary board. Betsy bowled on the Senior Bowling teams. She loved Jesus and reading the Bible and by her example she shared her faith with her family. Betsy was a fabulous mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and pianist. Survivors include her daughters, Vicki (Mike) Pezoldt-Henz, Jayne (Scott) Hebert and Gina (David) Stack; nine grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.She was predeceased by her parents and daughter, Nancy Barrows.A Memorial service for Betsy will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Jeff Solwold officiating. Private inurnment will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Skaalen Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.
