Betty Argyle (Dorothy) was taken to her eternal home on May 18, 2025, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by family & friends.
She is survived by her only child Kerry Lynn (Al) Argyle-Kohler, her sister Pearl Bellhorn, & many nieces, nephews, & friends.
Betty was born on October 14, 1928, in Barton City, Michigan to Herman and Anna (Todorich) Badenhoop.
She graduated from Harrisville High School in 1946 and was married in 1953 to Roy Argyle (of Mikado) for 61 years. They moved to Bay City where Betty worked at Prestolite for 35 years.
Betty loved to hunt, fish, and share her knowledge. She was kind, generous, with a playful wit and compassionate heart, always thinking of others. Many share fond stories of hunting, fishing, baking, and times spent with. She had a remarkable memory of local history, people, places and events.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Fritz, Henry, and Carl Badenhoop, 7 sisters, Margarat Emerson, Helen Bauer, Ella Ross-Thornton, Connie Dolney, Mary Coseo, Millie Mix, and Julie Nashatka and several nieces and nephews.
Betty is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday May 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:30 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Joe Llewellyn will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Barton City.
