Basner, Betty - age 94 of Burton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on March 3, 2026. No services are scheduled, Betty will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Betty to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Betty was born on July 15, 1931 in Imlay City, Michigan to the late Roy and Bertha Davis. She married John E. Basner on July 31, 1948 in Gladwin, Michigan and he preceded her in death in 2023. Betty retired from AC Spark Plug after 25 years of service and she enjoyed playing bingo, puzzles, camping and watching John Wayne movies.
Surviving are her daughters, Claudia Heiser of Grand Blanc and Phyllis (Arnie) Jessen of Corunna. Grandchildren, Candy (Matthew) Tilley; Eric (Cim) Robbins; Heath (Tiffany) Basner. Great-Grandchildren, Ashley Tilley; Joshua Tilley; Paige (Adam) Dahl; Peyton Sink; Christopher Basner; J.D. Basner; Phoebe Basner. Betty was preceded in death by her husband; son, John M. Basner; son-in-law, Donald Heiser.
