Betty A. Baumberger

Betty A. Baumberger, age 77, of Hutchinson, formerly of New Ulm, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm, with Pastor Timothy Anderson officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm.

Betty was born on March 8, 1948, at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Delores Arne. She grew up in Mankato and later attended Mankato State University, where she earned a degree in Social Work. Betty dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a social worker for Sibley County before retiring in 2005.
She had a passion for traveling, especially with her grandchildren, and visiting family and friends. Betty was an avid reader, a lover of nature who enjoyed gazing at the stars from her cherished "Ranch," and caring for her beautiful flower gardens.
She was blessed with two children: Theresa "Terry" Richter (born October 9, 1966) and Gary Baumberger (born April 23, 1969). Betty will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Betty is survived by her son, Gary Baumberger; her grandchildren, Zach, Alex, and Beth Richter; and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa "Terry" Richter.
