Dear Archie,
So sorry for your family's great loss. I first met Betty in the Labor room and Danville Memorial Hospital where we were "roommates" for quite a few hours. Since she was 6 years younger than I was, I remember thinking she was such a beautiful young Mother to be. Kirk was born 12 hours before Paul. That was a very special day for both our families. Have enjoyed seeing Betty down through the years and was glad we had the opportunity to meet in such a special way. Please know Wayne and I are remembering all of you with our
Love, Prayers, and deepest Sympathy.

I remember Betty from working at Brockway. She was so full of laughter and eager to help you. I would run into her in the past from buying my Mom's groceries at 41 Food Lion. Always a joy to see!

Dear Boswell Family,
Archie shared with me that Betty was suffering with memory loss, and from my own mother, I understand much of what you have experienced. In reading Betty's obituary, it was such a tribute to a wonderful lady and servant of the Lord. I was blessed to witness so much of her ministries. A few times, we met for lunch and was always encouraged by her laughter and godly counsel. I always felt that we were on the same team.
This morning, I asked the Lord again why He, in His wisdom and love would allow yet another so dear walk those paths at dusk. Certainly, He taught her even more about His love and wisdom as she realized the changes, and I knew He had brought her across the Finish Line in victory. But I saw something deeper today in reading about her life. The Lord was using Betty to chisel, mold, shape, and bring a bit of polish to those of you who are her precious family and those of us who know her. Her time of walking into the shadows and passing into the His presence is for us from the God Who seeks to draw us close to His side. May each of you feel the love of God in this lap of the race He has set before you.
Yours in Christ,
Carolyn Winstead Bagley
