Betty Jean Castleberry, age 82, went to be with her Lord on March 21st, 2024. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Betty was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Milton, GA. Betty worked in human resources for Wausau insurance company retiring as the Director of Human Resources. She is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Agnes Bennett; brother and sister-in-law, Lanier and Barbara Bennett; brother-in-law, Jerry Honea; family, Allie and Lillian Archer, Marcus and Melba Castleberry, Edwin and Mildred Shirley.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, James Everett Castleberry; children, Dennis (Angie) Castleberry, Kevin (Lynn) Castleberry, Ben Castleberry; brother, Bobby (Linda) Bennett; sister, Glenda Honea; grandchildren, Eli Castleberry, Gideon (Rebecca) Castleberry, Easton Wright, Brenna Wright; great grandchildren, Isaac Castleberry, Asah Castleberry, Grayson Wright; other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Bethany Baptist Church in Milton with Rev. Ricky Byrd, Rev. Gerral Richards, and Rev. Caleb Byrd officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 22nd, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, on Saturday, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Bethany Baptist Church general fund.
