Betty Colston Obituary
Betty Lynn Colston, age 88 of Erin, TN, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Houston County Community Hospital
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Tefft officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 8:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday morning at the funeral home.
Betty entered this life on August 25, 1935 in Knoxville, TN, daughter to the late James Claude York and Mary Louise Sherrill York. Betty was a member of New Beginning Ministries and had a passion for cross stitching and crosswords puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James R. “Bob” Colston; children, Jim McKee, Jeffrey McKee, and Carla Ard.
Survivors include her loving children, Melanie (Doug) Tefft, Lauri Price, Scott (Janet) McKee, Rusty (Angel) McKee, Daryl (Brenda) McKee; daughter in law, Lynnie McKee; and brother, Allen York. Betty also leaves behind 29 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Colston, Charlie Miller, Robby Richey, Timmy McKee, Ryan McKee, Rusty McKee, and Howard Cox.
