Betty Ann Cooper

Betty A. (Bush) Cooper, age 92 of Buckley, passed away on March 28, 2026.

Betty was an RN at both Osteopathic and Munson Hospitals, specializing in OB and a Nursing Instructor at NMC, loved and appreciated by her students. She was very involved in the Buckley community, including The Gospel Tabernacle, School Board, 4H Leader, and School Alumni Assn.

She lost her loving husband Carl of almost 62 years in 2015.

Our beloved Mother is survived by her children, Pam, Scott, Craig (Esther) and Jodi – grandkids, Randy, Aaron, Krystal, Colin and Kaylee – great grandkids, Nadia, Grace, and Ciaran, and loved by her many nieces and nephews, including a special bond with niece Margaret and her husband, Thomas Waclawski.

Betty was well known for her love for animals, including the dairy cows and the many kitties which were rescued and treasured.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, 200 N Brownson Avenue, Kingsley, Michigan 49649 with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place in Cornell Cemetery in the spring.

Donations may be made in memory of Betty at TC Paw in Traverse City.
