Betty Jane Danaher, age 91 passed away on August 9, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center
Born on November 8, 1931 in Newburgh New York. She was the daughter of Robert Harvey Garrison and Phoebe (Ruth) McLean Garrison. She is predeceased by her husband John Danaher.
Betty was involved in the Grange, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and the Rhinebeck Fife and Drum Corps. She enjoyed roller-skating until well into her 70s.
Betty was an employee of IBM, following her retirement she worked at Sam's Club
Betty is survived by her daughter Deborah Dole, her son John Danaher and his wife Bonnie Danaher, and her daughter, Kathleen Castillo and her husband Mario Castillo.
Betty is also survived by her brother Pete, eight grand children, 17 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother George and sister Ethel.
Calling hours are Saturday, August 12, 2023, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 West Market St, Rhinebeck. A celebration of life and time of sharing will begin at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at the Rhinebeck Cemetery.
