She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, George Rufus Boatman; sisters, Marie Rogers, Cora Hanie and Maggie Bowen; grandson, Billy Ray Boatman, Jr. and niece, Angel Bowen.
Survivors include her son, Billy Boatman, Sr.; daughter, Betty Star Boatman; brothers, Sam Eaves (Gloria) and Billy Eaves (Myrtle); sister, Gene Chapman; grandchildren, Christine McKim and London Boatman and a number of great-grandchildren.
Betty was born October 1, 1945 in Geiger, Alabama to the late Jack Eaves and Mary William Eaves. She was a member of Aliceville First Baptist Church and a retired caregiver.
