Funeral Service at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Bobby Scott officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery. Viewing on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. with visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00- 8:00 pm. 

Betty Jean Fielding was born to Bernice Elmer and Minnie Elizabeth (Bowen) Jackson in Corum, OK on February 21, 1938 and departed this life in Wichita Falls on August 31, 2024 at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 10 days.

Jean grew up at Corum and lived in Duncan and Comanche as well. She married Earl Gene Fielding on June 27, 1954 and they made their home northeast of Walters. She worked as a waitress in Lawton. The family moved to Oregon in in 1972 and then returned to the area, making their home in Burkburnett, TX in 1976. She and husband Earl operated Fielding Concrete Construction and Land Leveling from 1976 to 1992. 

Jean was a member of Lighthouse Church in Burkburnett. She enjoyed playing the organ for church and also played the guitar. She liked reading and sewing, and she and Earl enjoyed fishing and going for a drive. Jean loved time spent with her grandkids. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Fielding; 4 children, Sheryl Campbell, David Fielding, Renae Davis and Darron Fielding; a great granddaughter, Rachel Fulks; her parents; 3 brothers, Glyn, Floyd and Vern; and 6 sisters, Helen, Katie, Deloris, Ruby Juree, Katherine and Arlene.

Survivors include a daughter, Janeen Fielding of Burkburnett, TX; a son-in-law, Rex Campbell of Duncan, OK; a brother, Buddy Jackson of Sapulpa, OK; 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
