Betty JoAnn Dykes Fulton departed this earthly realm to join family and friends in God’s eternal paradise on February 13th, 2025.
Betty was born in Flomaton, Alabama on September 15th, 1936, to the late Joseph Dykes and Mary (Newton) Dykes.
Betty gave her life to Christ when she was a very young teenager. She married her late husband William Robertson Fulton on September 6th, 1958, they were married 53 years.
She was also preceded in death by her older brother Joe Dykes (Johnnie) and her older sister, Earline Pierce (Henry).
She is survived by her three children; daughter, Cynthia Newkirk, son, Michael Fulton (Rena), son, Stephen Fulton (Jennifer) and her sister Sharon Dykes. Left to cherish her memory are her 8 grandchildren, Kimberly Browning (Burt), Alicia Hammerle (Michael), Jimmy Newkirk (Jennifer), Christopher Fulton (Autumn), Erik Fulton (Hope), Madison Fulton, William Fulton, Landon Fulton and 13 great-grandchildren, expecting number 14 (baby Jessa) in May of 2025.
She was a true advocate of being outside in God’s World and the good it does for renewing your spiritual soul. Betty and Bill were lifelong members of Grace Presbyterian Church in Little Rock.
A Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Home in Little Rock on February 24th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held after the visitation.
