Betty Lou Gibbs

Betty Lou Gibbs, age 91, of Dickson, TN; passed away on December 4, 2022 at TriStar Northcrest Medical Center.
Betty was born March 27, 1931 in Davidson County, TN, to the late Hobart McKinley and Mary Ethel (Quinn) Deering.
Early on she loved hunting, and actually shot a deer. She enjoyed bowling with her buddies and playing BINGO with her friends at the Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, and feeding and watching her birds and squirrels. Most of all she loved her family, and made certain to never miss anyones birthday.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, J.W. Gibbs; a step-father, Dewey Roberts; three brothers, Boots Deering, Charlie Deering, and Artie "Bub" Deering; three sisters, Dorothy Bullock, Doris Powell, and Reba Shuck. Those left to cherish her memory are a son, Richard Allen (Patsy) Gibbs; three granddaughters, Lucinda (Derek) Bishop of Dickson, TN, Shonna (Brad) Chapman of White House, TN, and Mesha (Josh) Yates of Minneapolis, MN; eight great-grandchildren, Dalton Duke, Connor Bishop, Will Duke, Micheala Yates, Joey Yates, Morgan Yates, Taylor Lowe, and Mackenzie Chapman; and two great-fur babies, Jake and Maddie.
Funeral Service will be Friday, December 9, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home. Interment will be at 2:45 p.m. in the Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN. Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 9, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
