Betty Griffin

Betty Ruth Griffin, age 68, passed away suddenly November 03, 2025, at Bacon County Hospital. She was born in Bacon County September 01, 1957, to the late William Thomas King and Bernice Hall King. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Ray Griffin and her brother, Roy King.

She was a long-time member of the Jesus Church of Scuffletown. She retired from Distribution South after many years.

She is survived by her daughters Teresa Clemons (Eric), Stephanie Griffin both of Mershon and Mary Taylor (Todd) of Alma; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Johnny King of Mershon, Edward King (Janette) of Screven, and Jerry King (Diane) of Mershon; sisters, Linda Holton of Midway, GA and Shirley Williams of Mershon.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 07, 2025, at 2 PM at the Jesus Church of Scuffletown with Rev Jason King officiating and eulogy given by Larry Joiner. Interment will follow at Jesus Church of Scuffletown Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Crosby Funeral Home Thursday night from 6-9 PM.

Active pallbearers include Will King, Michael Lunsford, David Nipper, Wesley Mattox, Larry Boatright, Cody Lunsford, and Chuck Overstreet.

All in attendance will be considered honorary pallbearers.
