Betty Hehr, 75, Kulm, ND died Saturday March 22, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Betty Ann Reeb was born November 7, 1949, in Hazen, ND, the daughter of Edna (Fandrich) Anderson and Albert Reeb. Betty graduated from Hazen High School and attended college for one year at Williston. Betty was employed as telephone operator with Northwestern Bell.

Betty and LeRoy Hehr were married April 24, 1971, in Fredonia, ND. They made their home on a farm 5 miles north of Fredonia on the family farm. Following the death of her husband April 22, 2006, she continued to reside on the farm. Betty has been a grill cook and waitress in the Home Plate Café and was a Certified Nursing Assistant; in 2011 she moved to Kulm, ND, also working for Dollar General.

She was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Fredonia, WELCA treasurer for 10 years, vice president Lutheran Cemetery Association, and chairman Martin Lutheran Church 100-year celebration. She enjoyed gardening, going for walks, raising animals on the farm, including ducks, geese, guinea hens, cats, dogs, chickens. She also loved embroidery, ceramics, waffle club, canning and going on mystery trips, collecting horse items and her cow, #11; and staying up to date with the activities of the neighbors across the street.

Betty is survived by 3 sons, Tim Hehr, Chandler, AZ; Chad (Vanessa Christensen, children-Zach & Hailey) Hehr, Watford City, ND; Mark (Rebecca) Hehr, Fredonia, ND; 2 brothers, Jacob Reeb, Minneapolis, MN; Jim Reeb, Warner, SD; and 2 sisters, Pauline, SD; and Roxanne, WI; and her step mother, Joan Reeb, Jamestown, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Leonard Anderson; her husband, LeRoy; grandparents, Ella and Bill Fandrich; and infant daughter, Mary Ann.

Funeral Service- 1:00 PM Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Fredonia, ND

Visitation/Prayer Service- 4- 7:00pm Friday at the Church with a prayer service at 7:00 PM

Interment- Martin Luther Lutheran Cemetery- N of Fredonia, ND.
