Betty Holcomb Obituary
Betty Hodges Holcomb, 90, of Columbus, GA passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 29, 2025 at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Chuck Odum officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday, September 28, 2025 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Holcomb was born June 12, 1935 in Headland, AL to the late Hugh Hodges and Merle Hodges. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell South and retired from AT&T after many years as an operator.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Holcomb.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Vicki Lucas (Paul) of Columbus, GA, Tammy Davis (Jason) of Jasper, GA, Mandi Guthrie (Billy) of Columbus, GA, and; grandchildren, Lauri Odum (Chuck) of Phenix City, AL, April Solis of Columbus, GA, Brandon Holcomb (Tamalyn) of New Braunfels, TX and Trey Guthrie (Kaila) of Columbus, GA, Tyler Guthrie of Columbus, GA; great-grandchildren, Lilly Wing (Cody), Elisabeth Holbrook, Helena Holbrook and Cierra Solis all of Columbus, GA; great-great grandchildren, Jasper Tinnin and Bryn Holcomb.
Flowers will be accepted, those so desiring may make contributions to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA 31909.
