Betty Earline Hoover, born on August 19, 1931, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Sneads Ferry on October 20, 2025, at the age of 94.

Betty dedicated much of her professional life to serving as an Office Deputy for the County Sheriff Department, where she was known for her diligence and commitment. After retiring, she discovered a passion for quilting, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her family for generations.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hubert P. Hoover; her parents, Clifford and Ethel Byrd; her brother, Clifford "Sonny" Byrd; and her sister, Carolyn Hampton. Her memory will be lovingly carried on by her daughter, Charlyn Brock, and her husband T.C. of Sneads Ferry, NC; her stepsons, Stan Hoover of Amissville, VA, and Harvey Hoover of Rochester, IL; and her four grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Betty was known for her spirited personality, often described as wild and occasionally ruffling some feathers. Her family cherished her deeply and will remember her fondly for her vibrant spirit and loving nature.

Betty will be laid to rest in Carlinville IL at a later date, where family will gather to celebrate her remarkable life and bid farewell to a truly unforgettable woman.
