Betty Jeanne Hutton

BETTY JEANNE HUTTON
October 6, 1928 ˜ August 11, 2024

Betty J. (Cusic) Hutton passed away Aug. 11, 2024, in Vancouver, WA. She was 95 years old. Born to Ruth (Fawkes) and Ira Cusic in Portland, OR, she was the oldest child of four siblings, Theadore Cusic, Carol Hendry, Rodney Cusic, and Linda Morse. Betty would often tell many stories of her childhood, but her fondest memories were spending time with her grandmother Edith Fawkes.

Betty graduated from Vancouver High School. After graduation, Betty went to work for Columbia Machine where she met John Hutton.

John and Betty were married for 39 years. Betty was a stay-at-home mom caring for her three children, Rhonda, Joni, and John Jr.

After her divorce, Betty worked as an elderly caregiver. Betty also enjoyed the great outdoors and spent many years as a member of Lake Merwin Campers Hideaway.

Betty had diverse talents including, painting, gardening, and cooking. She was an avid reader and had a passion for crossword puzzles, listening to OPB (Oregon Public Broadcasting ) and was a devout fan of the Portland Trail Blazers.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, John; her parents, her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Rhonda Hutton, Joni Hutton, and John Hutton Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
