WADESBORO – On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, Mrs. Betty Jean Eddins Gibson, 78, peacefully passed away at Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 25, 2021, at King’s Vineyard Worship Center in Wadesboro with Pastor Steve Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Betty Jean was born July 8, 1943, in Marion, SC and was a daughter of the late Jerry Miles Eddins and the late Lena Bell Arnette Eddins. She worked for several years in textiles and also as a sales associate at department stores.
Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Bailey (Randy), Jobie Goodwin (Donald), Suzy Walters (Eric) and Angie Jones (Kenneth Arquette) all of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Nathan Goodwin (Melody), Matthew Goodwin (Amanda), Christie Burr (Scott Wiersum), Johnathan Goodwin, Daniel Goodwin (Jessica Terry) and Zachary Dawkins all of Wadesboro, Daniel Walters (Brooke) of Monroe, Jeffrey McCormick (Farrah) of Huntersville, Kayla Jones (Trinton Terry) of Peachland and Ashton Jones of Lilesville; 19 great-grandchildren and her sisters and brother, Elizabeth Goins of Southern Pines, Melvina Harris (Thomas Williams) of Wadesboro and Johnny Eddins of Polkton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James Eddins and Bobby Eddins.
