Mrs. Pearson was born in Baton Rouge on March 13, 1931, and rested from this life on January 8, 2026, at her home, at the age of 94 years.
She was a native of Port Vincent, a resident of Galvez, and a former resident of Duplessis. She enjoyed being a Grandmother Volunteer with Ascension School System and worked as a retail clerk for many years. She loved her Lord, Family and Church; a devoted and faithful member of Galvez Pentecostal Church for eighty years.
Betty had a passion for flowers, of every kind; she will be remembered as having a servant’s heart, absolutely helping anyone she could; always showing kindness.
She is preceded in death by her husband Delton “Tenny Boy” Pearson, parents Barney and Jessie Everett Hill, children Marilyn McLain, Carolyn and Gealeen Pearson, grandson Kent Pearson, siblings Billy Hill and Catherine Hill.
Survivors include her children Janice Cooper (Donnie), Janell Osborne (Ricky), Vernell Dillsaver, and Kenneth Pearson (Toni), also survived by ten grandchildren, a host of step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Honor to serve as pallbearers will be Chey Ballard, Daniel Clement, Jeremy McElveen, Kenneth Pearson, Kevin Pearson, Kent Pearson, Kayden Pearson, Jake Gibson, and Johnny Laris.
A very heartfelt special thank you to Brandi with Hospice Specialists of Louisiana, for her love and dedication through the end.
