April 28, 1930 - February 2, 2024

York, South Carolina - Ms Betty J. Jones, 93, of York, SC passed away on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center, Fort Mill, SC.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Trinity United Methodist Church Parlor, 22 East Liberty St. York, SC 29745. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary with Reverend Wanda Altman-Shirah officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1774 Filbert Hwy York, SC 29745.

Betty was born on April 28, 1930 in York County, SC. She was the daughter of the late J. Brice Jones and Lola Hudson Jones. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired as a secretary to the physical department of Winthrop University.

Betty is survived by her cousins John Owens (Becky), Dianne O. Page, Julia McCluney (Jerry), Eddie Jones (Susan), Brian McCluney, Kevin Owens, Brad McCluney, Christy Bowman, Anita Chavous, and Marie Woodward.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to her care giver Diane Bailey, and also to the Staff at Carolina Gardens.
