She graduated from Blue Mound High School, then attended Central Business College and worked in her father’s business before she was married to Don Kastl on August 12, 1948. Betty established Kastl Insurance, which she co-owned with her husband, and was a Kansas Insurance agent for 30 years. She found joy in reading books, embroidering, and spending quality time with friends and family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was dearly loved by all of her family and friends and will be greatly missed!
Survivors include her daughter, Donna; two brothers Jarry Lalman and wife Mary, and Bill Lalman and wife Glenda; nieces and nephews; her grandchildren: Thad Powell, Amanda Powell, and Taylor Miller; great-granddaughters Peyton Powell and Taytum Miller, and great-grandson Kalen Miller.
