She is survived by her Husband, Louis Kuehn; Daughters, Barb (John) Schweigert of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Sandy (Tim) Kertz of St. Louis, MO, and Carol (John) Timmins of Milton, MA; Brothers, John (Pat) Buatte, Donald (Rosie) Buatte, Paul (Diane) Buatte, David (Lori) Buatte; Sister-in-law, Angela Kuehn; Grandchildren, Brad Schweigert, Morgan (Todd) Ritter, Claire (Chase) Minor, Renee Kertz, Maria (Dan) Jones, Brendan (Makaila) Kertz, Peter, Stephen, Louis and Jacque Timmins; five Great-Grandchildren with two on the way
Preceded in Death By:
Mother, Dorothy Buatte; Father, Leo Buatte; Sisters, Mary Lee (Glennon) Huck and Bonnie (Dan) Grobe; In-laws, Doris (Charles) Faller, Earl (Anne) Kuehn, Norma (Xavier) Grither, and Frank Kuehn.
Betty was kind and gentle, guided throughout life by her deep Catholic faith and profound devotion to her entire family. She cherished her childhood, growing up in St. Louis, on Kaskaskia Island, and in Kinsey, Missouri. With Louie, Betty lovingly raised her family in a home that she made warm and welcoming. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed quilting, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed reading the newspaper daily. Betty will be dearly missed by all the many lives she touched.
Visitation will be at Church of Ste. Genevieve in Sainte Genevieve, MO on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 9:30 am till 12:00 pm followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Msgr. Michael Turek will be officiating.
Interment will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, MO
Memorials can be made to Valle Catholic Schools 40 N 4th St, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670 or Alzheimer's Association 225 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60603.
She was a member of the Ste. Genevieve Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Post 150 Auxiliary, VFW Post 2210 Auxiliary, Ste. Genevieve Quilting Club.
