Obituary of Betty B. Langswager

Hilton/Pittsford - Betty Brown Langswager passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at the age of 93, after a struggle with Alzheimer's. She is predeceased by her father, F. Harold Brown; her mother, Lucy Bell Merels; and her brother, Loren (Patricia) Brown. She is survived by her beloved husband of 73 years, Gilbert W. Langswager; her two sons, Gary (Paula) Langswager and Jeffrey (Jan) Langswager; five grandchildren, Erin (Stephen) Roberts, Eric (Tasha) Langswager, Emily (Brian) Morrison, Christopher (Paige) Langswager, and Nicholas (Elizabeth) Langswager; ten great-grandchildren, George and Felicity Roberts, Nora and Chloe Langswager, Knox and Olivia Morrison, Rayme and Elsa Langswager, and Zoey and Phoebe Langswager.

Betty will be remembered for all the hats that she wore with her outfits and her love for entertaining. She was a long-time member of the MG Car Club, enjoying riding to club events in their 1953 MG TD, owned by her husband and herself for 64 years. Betty was also a former member of the Red Hat Society and loved to put on tea for the ladies.

Betty's Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 3000 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY 14616. Immediately following the service, in the church parlor, will be a Celebration of Betty's Life. Gilbert and the family would be honored to have everyone come and share a special thought or memory of Betty. The celebration will last until 5:00 pm. A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Parma Union Cemetery.
