Betty L. Logsdon, 95, of Granger, IN., passed away at 3:55 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2025, at Holy Cross Village at Notre Dame. Betty was born on July 21, 1930, in Greenup County, Kentucky to John and Zona Ann Spainhower. Betty joined her older brother John and together they welcomed seven other siblings into the fold.
On August 5, 1948, in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Betty married Clifford E. Logsdon. Betty, Cliff and their son, Ron made the long journey from Kentucky to Indiana in 1954. Seven short years later, they welcomed their daughter, Brenda, into the family.
Betty was a graduate from Raceland High School in Kentucky. In her 95 years of life, Betty enjoyed several pursuits and jobs. She decorated special occasion cakes for friends and family, created crafts, enjoyed yard work and gardening. She also worked as a seamstress in the RV industry.
She was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy until her health precluded her from attending. She was a dedicated youth worker, worship leader, and Vacation Bible School organizer. She lived out her faith by helping others.
Cliff preceded Betty in death on June 28, 1984. Betty was also preceded in death by her parents John and Zona Spainhower; and her brothers: Billie, Bobby, John, James, Jack, Paul, and Dean Spainhower.
Betty is survived by her son, Ron Logsdon of Granger, Indiana; daughter, Brenda Anderson (husband, Jack); and two grandchildren, Ardenia Nunley (husband, Kamen) and Jack Anderson III and his friend, Shyann Hill Heuer. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Gillette (husband, Delmar) of Newport News, Virginia, and sisters-in-law, Roenna and Lorena Spainhower of Kentucky. They will remember with fondness the love she has bestowed on them in word and in deed.
Services for Betty will be on Saturday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka with a visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jack Anderson will officiate the services.
Graveside services will take place on Monday, November 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana.
