Betty P. Michael Betty P. Michael, age 75 of Manassas, Virginia passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 at Fairfax Nursing Center, Fairfax, Virginia. Betty was born June 11, 1937 in Colon, North Carolina daughter of the late George Robert and Mildred (Myers) Harton. She loved cooking, reading, traveling, taking cruises and spending time with her family. Betty retired from the federal government as a Budget Analyst. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Michael and one daughter, Faith Papirnick. Survivors include four children, Donna E. Penton, Marion G. Hall, Robert L. Michael, Jr. and David C. Michael; one sister, Jane Crawford; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 22, 2012 with Pastor Ralph Benson officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Evercare Hospice, 12018 Sunrise Valley Drive, #400, Reston, Virginia 22032 in loving memory of Betty Michael.
