Betty Lou Muller, 90, of Gainesville, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025.

Born on June 2, 1935, Betty was a lifelong Texan with a heart full of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. She married the love of her life, C.M. Muller, on August 8, 1953, in Cooke County. Together, they built a life centered on faith, service, and care.

A devoted homemaker and caregiver, Betty had an extraordinary gift for putting the needs of others before her own—whether caring for her family or the residents of the Denton State School, where she worked with compassion and grace. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, tending to her garden, and lovingly doting on her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

One of Betty’s greatest joys was her love of animals. She had a particularly special place in her heart for Dalmatians, whose playful spirit and loyal nature brought her immense happiness over the years.

She is survived by her daughters: Jeannie Alexander of Valley View; Donna Allen and husband Ricky of Gainesville; and Vickie Solito of Valley View. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Kim Muller of Mayetta, KS; and daughter-in-law Doris Muller of Muenster. Betty leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Linda Kesterson of Ardmore, OK, and sister-in-law Etta Boggs of Myra.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jewel (Brown) Boggs; her beloved husband, C.M. Muller; her son, Bobby Muller; daughter, Julie Muller; son, Weldon (W.C.) Muller; grandson, Michael Alexander; son-in-law Harold Alexander; four brothers, and one sister.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A committal service will follow at Valley View Cemetery. Mrs. Muller’s grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ladie’s Auxiliary of VFW Post 1922, Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter, or Renaissance Care Center.
