Betty Lou Padgett, age 73, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY.
She was born March 13, 1952 to the late Franky & Lorraine (Hodge) Denney. She worked for a number of years as a seamstress at Palm Beach. Whether she was cultivating her flowers or crafting delicious meals in the kitchen, her touch always made things better. Her cooking was a source of comfort, with every meal prepared with care and love. Above all, Betty was the glue that held her family together, a steady presence of love and strength. She loved her family more than anything. Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Padgett; three sons, Stacy, Tracy, and Brad; four grandchildren, Tera Padgett, Devon Padgett, Jacetin Padgett, and Aniya Padgett; and ten siblings, Johnny, Dennis, Peggy, Margie, Donnie, Cheryl, Curtis, Jeff, Karen, and Rose.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two siblings, Stevie and Larry Ralph.
A funeral service will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services on Monday to Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
