Betty Ann Cooper Patterson, age 86, passed away on October 16, 2025 in Copperhill, Tenessee. Mrs. Patterson was born on September 9, 1939 to the late William Henry Cooper and Hassie Pauline Hipp Cooper. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy E. Patterson, Sr. brother, Paul Donald Cooper and grandson Dakota Marcus Patterson.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by her daughters, Wanda (Jerry) Cardwell, Paula (Mike) Pettus, Daphne (Ray) Keys, Laura (Jeff) Petrie, and Amy (Jorge) Rivas; son, Billy (Diane) Patterson, Jr. and a brother, Charles (Polly) Cooper; 24 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great granchildren also survive.
Betty Ann was a person that found enjoyment in crafts, sewing, and cooking. She was very accomplished in all three. Her faith in God was strengthened by her church family and gospel music. She especially found encouragement in listening to the Chuck Wagon Gang. One of the church activities she found pleasure in were the annual church Halloween parties. She worked hard to bring treats and smiles to boys and girls from many years.She was always telling jokes and trying her best to make others laugh.
A funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 12:30pm in the chapel of the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in McCaysville, Georgia with Minister Keith Ritchie officiating. The family will be receiving friends in a time of visitation on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 11 a.m. until the 12:30pm funeral service hour. Interment will be in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help defray the final expenses of Betty Ann Patterson.
