Betty Jean Radford, born on September 28, 1949, in McBee, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024.
Betty was a devoted member of Beauford Baptist Church, where she found deep fulfillment in her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her generosity knew no bounds; she consistently put the needs of others before her own, embodying a spirit of thoughtfulness that touched all who knew her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, She dedicated her life to serving others and her faith.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Lorie Ann Sutton (Scott) of Charleston; her son, Timothy Jack Garrison (Andrea) of Jefferson; and her beloved grandchildren: Chase Sutton (Alexandra), Clayton Garrison (Kara), Caitlin Sutton, Cole Garrison, and Collier Garrison; great-grandchildren: Jocelynne Sutton, Skylar Sutton, Benjamin Sutton, Micah Sutton, Isaiah Sutton, Anthony Sutton, Thatcher Garrison, Reese Garrison, Sawyer Garrison, and Mattie Garrison, as well as her soon-to-arrive great-grandchild, Jonah Sutton: widow of grandchild Christopher Sutton (Ashley Sutton) She also leaves behind her cherished feline companion, "Jo".
Preceding Betty in death were her parents, James R. Huggins and Dorothy Sullivan Huggins; her beloved son, Jason Thomas Garrison; her grandson, Christopher Richard Sutton; her siblings, Joanne Poston and Thomas Huggins; and her husband, Jessie James Radford.
Visitation will be held on December 29, 2024, at Beauford Baptist Church in McBee from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by her funeral service starting at 3:00 PM. Pastor Tim Williams and Pastor Duane Stegall will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home, burial will be in the church cemetery.
