Betty Jane Redwine

Betty Jane Redwine, 82, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born on May 1, 1943, in Washita, Oklahoma, to H.H. and Colleen Nikkel.
Betty's early childhood was marked by frequent moves across Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana as her father worked on a seismic crew for an oil and gas company. These experiences, though challenging, shaped her into a woman who deeply valued lasting friendships and meaningful connections. Her family eventually settled in Oklahoma City, where she graduated from Crooked Oak High School.
After graduation, Betty began a dedicated career at Tinker Air Force Base, serving in various roles until her retirement. She was a follower of Jesus Christ and an active, devoted member of Henderson Hills Baptist Church, where her faith guided her life of service to others.
Betty was known for her extraordinary kindness, generosity, and selfless spirit. She used her expert sewing skills to create items for children's and women's charities and delighted in cooking and sharing her mouthwatering desserts and home-cooked meals with neighbors and friends. One of her greatest annual joys was making large quantities of homemade Christmas candy, a tradition eagerly anticipated by all who knew her. She loved to travel, play games, and cherished the time spent with her close circle of friends. Above all, she treasured time with her family, especially her grandchildren, welcoming them into her home with open arms and cheering them on at their games and every milestone. Her acts of service, both large and small, left an indelible mark on countless lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Redwine; and her sister, Judy Tipton.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Kelli; her son, Jason, and his wife, Paige; her stepdaughter, Donna; seven grandchildren: Wesley, Kinsey, Bethany, Collin, Grant, Derek, and Devin; nine great-grandchildren; and many dear friends who were blessed by her friendship and love.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Henderson Hills Baptist Church.
Those being recognized as honorary pallbearers are Ken Mathews, Richard Watts, Don Jordan, and Don Price.
