Betty Jo Seelye

Betty Jo Seelye of Midland, Michigan, died on December 3, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born on September 26, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan; one of five children of Russell and Phyllis (Rodgers) Ray.
Betty Jo graduated in the first graduating class at H.H. Dow High School in 1971. As a Home Health Care Nurse, she devoted her life to others and their care. She loved cooking for others and she loved her 10-year-old dog Rascal. She also cherished the time she was able to spend with family, especially her grandchildren.
Betty Jo is survived by her longtime companion Dale Seelye; her daughter Heidi Van-Y; her son Daniel Inman (Alisa); her grandchildren, Kylie Inman and Kane Inman; her sister Sharon Hall (Kirk); her brother Charles "Chuck" Ray (Teresa); her sister-in-law Christine Ray; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Phyllis Ray, her first husband Larry Inman, and her brothers, Russell Ray and Michael Ray.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St., Midland. Family will greet guests at the funeral home starting at 2:00 PM.
