Betty worked with me at Seminole Springs Elementary. She was one of our originals when we open the new school! She was a beautiful person. Always helpful, never wanted a child to not have food. She was an excellent cook.
One of my funniest memories actually has nothing to do with food. Our Principal Dr. Currie was always cutting up with the students. He got to know both my boys very well. My 3rd grader was always at school w me, before we opened and of course during the school year. On the last day of school during field day, Dr Currie picked up my third grader and dunked him in the kitchen sink soaking him at lunch. My son being way to familiar with everything at the school grabbed the dish washing hose and went to spray Dr Currie. Unfortunately Dr Currie ducked and my son hit Ms. Betty full force. He was sorry he hit her with the water. Bless her she laughed and said I know Dr Currie caused this. They were great friends from then on.
I could always count on her to have a positive outlook Wish I had a better picture of her at our 10th reunion at the cabin. Our dear friend took this last year on a visit to her. Thanks Charlene
