Betty Jean Carver Smith, age 87 of the Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 15, 2023 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Betty is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.
Funeral Services for Betty Jean Carver Smith will be conducted Saturday afternoon, November 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Elder Greg West and Brother Johnathan West officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.
Visitation will begin on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.
Family request memorials be made to Sherry’s Run or Macon County Terminal Illness Fund. You may make these memorials by calling or coming by the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by husband, Lowell Smith, son Maxie Steven Smith, parents, Delton & Dorothy Oliver Carver, sister & brother-in-law, Barbara & Harold Fryman, brother & sisters-in-law, Billy & Carol Carver, Shirley Smith.
She is survived by: son & daughter-in-law, Timothy Lowell & Diana Smith of Red Boiling Springs; daughter & son-in-law, Melinda & Neil Ferguson of Lafayette; granddaughters, Kastonia & husband Steve Herron, Krystal & husband Jason Sallee, Brittni & husband Johnathan West, grandsons, Brylee & wife Cheyenne Smith, Shane & wife Shaye Ferguson, great-grandchildren, Haleigh & husband Tyler Eller, Hunter Herron, Adalyn and Corbin Sallee, Kaybri, Kalan & Kaya West, Esme Jean Smith, great-great-granddaughter, Keegan Eller, brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby & Nancy Carver, Randy & Tracy Carver both of Lafayette; brother-in-law, Ronald Smith of Pleasant Shade, and several nieces and nephews.
