Betty M. Spittler, 80, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.
Betty was born July 14, 1944 to Edgar and Beulah (Armstrong) Tate. Betty worked her entire career for the Federal Government before retiring in 1996. She met Bernard Spittler while they were both working at the Federal Building in Kansas City, MO, and they were married on November 12, 1983.
Betty had a passion for painting, quilting, crocheting, and a love for animals. She was kind hearted, caring and enjoyed giving to others. She had a good sense of humor and was loved by many.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Spittler, her parents Edgar and Beulah Tate, and a brother Emmett Tate.
Betty is survived by her brother Howard (Cheryl) Tate, Lawson, MO, sister Linda (Keith) Sawyer, Thornton, CO, Sister-in-law, Carol Tate, Valley Springs, CA, nieces Jennifer (Brad) Eversole, Speedway, IN, Valorie (Roely) Gorham, Lawson, MO, and Lisa Steffes, Valley Springs, CA, great-nieces and nephews Isabella, Atley, and Jackie Eversole and Roely Gorham, stepchildren Diane (Doug) Burford, Garden City, MO, Debra Spittler (Javier) Hernandez, Surprise, AZ, Randal Spittler, Fresno, CA, Rodney (Kathy) Spittler, Kansas City, MO, step-grandchildren Barrett (Kaylyn) Burford, Torin Burford, Emily Spittler, and Alejandro Hernandez, and step-great-granddaughter Kinsley Burford.
