Betty Ufford Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson's Tribute Center - Hood River on Jan. 5, 2025.
With sadness, the family of Betty Ufford announces her passing on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at the age of 94. She passed from complications from the flu.
Betty was born in Boulder, Colorado, on Nov. 29, 1930, to John and Anna Gregory. She grew up in Colorado, California, and Oregon. After graduation from high school, she became a bank teller. She met our father, Glen Ufford, in 1950, and were married on Nov. 5, 1950. They were married for almost 65 years before Glen passed away in 2015.
Throughout the years, Glen and Betty moved from town to town following the electrical power grid construction in the Pacific Northwest. During this time, they raised four children. Betty adjusted to the moves for her husband's work, making long lasting friends along the way. She had an engaging personality that drew people to her. She enjoyed bowling, tennis, golf, playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her children, John Ufford (LeeAnn), Janice Chandler (Don), Paul Ufford (Lori), and Pattie Monahan (Mike); grandchildren Kayla Bohince (Zach), Scott Monohan (Kelsey), Kate Ufford-Anderson (Andy), and Matt Ufford (Jenni); nine great-grandchildren ; her sister Judy Hoffman (Gary); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
There will be no formal services at Betty's request. A private interment will be held at a later date and a celebration of life will be held later this spring. Visit www.AndersonsTributeCenter.com to leave a note of condolence for the family.
