Betty J. Vander Linden, at the remarkable age of 94, passed away on October 31, 2025. She was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on August 7, 1931, to her parents Nelson and Leone (Hoier) Nutting.
She was raised in the Fox Valley. She graduated from Appleton High School. She met the love of her life Bob through his brother Tom. They dated for a couple of years before they got married in 1952 at Sacred Heart. Together they raised 4 lovely children. She truly loved being a mother and especially a grandmother.
She is survived by her children: Cynthia (Michael), Jaculin, Chuck (Jennifer); grandchildren: Roxanne, Matthew, Jennifer (Josh), Katherine, Emily, Foster; great grandchildren: Christian, Leo, Isaiah; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Deborah, son-in-law Michael, siblings: Joyce (Clarence), Shirley (Robert), Daryl (Betty), Pat (John), Bonnie, along with several nieces and nephews.
There will be a funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 222 E Fremont St. Appleton WI 54915. There will be a visitation on November 10, 2025, from 9am to 11am with a Mass starting at 11.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Frontida for the exceptional care they provided for Betty and Bob.
