Betty Louise Vaughn, of Social Circle, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the age of 78. Mrs. Vaughn leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She especially enjoyed the crisp beauty of the North Georgia Mountains in the fall, where she often spent time with dear friends. A true people person, she loved visiting with family and friends, chatting for hours on the phone, and sharing stories and smiles. Her faithful dog Chloe was always by her side, a beloved companion. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—watching hummingbirds, playing games, reading her Bible, and listening to Christian music. Her warm presence and unwavering faith will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Vaughn; parents, Huelette and Betty Thomas; sisters, Jaunita, Jeanelle, Carmen; brothers, Billy, Jimmy, and Dickie.
Survivors include her daughter, Allison Jordan (Mart); sons, Paul Vaughn, Jason Vaughn; grandchildren, Kalin Navarro (Jose), Emmy Bradford (Matthew); great-grandchild, Hattie Bradford; sister, Shirley Hook; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Vaughn will be held Friday, May 9, 2025, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour prior to her service, from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M.
