Betty Lynne Warren, 85, of Florence, Alabama went to heaven on Thursday, November 6, 2025. A celebration of her beautiful life will take place at Highland Baptist Church in Florence on Saturday, November 15th, at 3 p.m. Visitation will be from 1:00 till 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Betty Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Nema Lucille Miller, and her brother Robert Lee Miller, Jr. Surviving her in death are: James Avery Warren, her husband of 63 years; their sons, James Barton Warren (Lori) and Robert Brent Warren; grandchildren, Wilson Barton Warren (Margaret), Elizabeth Beeson Ireland (Scott), Kendall Lynne Warren, Holland Avery Warren, Joshua Alan Sizemore and John Luke Sizemore; Great-grandchildren, Catherine Ormond Ireland and James Wilson Warren. Betty Lynne was born in Memphis, Tennessee, but her family soon moved to Florence, Alabama, which she always referred to as her "beloved hometown." After graduating from Coffee High School in 1958, she earned a degree in Music Education at Florence State College (now The University of North Alabama) in 1962. Throughout her forty-year career as a piano teacher, countless young people learned to play the piano and became Betty Lynne's lifelong friends. She also served as church pianist or organist for local churches during those forty years. Betty Lynne was a living definition of a "Christian lady" who loved with all her heart the Lord, her family and many friends. To describe her, requires words such as: kind, gentle, loyal, sweet, thoughtful, talented, generous, dependable, gracious, humble and loving. She and Jim are members of Highland Baptist Church.
