Betty Ann Whiteaker

Betty Ann Whiteaker, age 84, went to be with her Lord Monday, July 14th, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 26, 1940 to Alberta "Bert" Monroe Byington & Marion Byington in Church Hill, TN. She was a loyal Pharmacy Tech at Kmart for many years before the store closed in early 2010's where she then retired from Walgreens a few years later. She was a devote Christian and would listen to Rev. Wayne Baker with Pleasant View Church even after she became unable to attend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert "Bobby" Whiteaker, who has waited 27 years and 1 day for her return, her eldest son Robert "Neal" Waterman, her sister Beulah "Tootie" Byington, brother Bobby Ralph Byington, and many beloved cousins.
She is survived by her son, Edward Waterman, daughter Pamela Waterman Mathews (Mo), granddaughter Angela Mathews, grandson Robert Waterman Jr, great-grandson Wyatt Waterman and sister Linda Sutton (Tim).
The family would like to send a special thanks to the Amedisys Home Hospice for providing comfort in her final weeks.
Visitation and Service will be from 11am-12pm on Thursday, July 17th, 2025, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home with burial to follow at Morning Star Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ed Waterman, Eli Kennedy, Mo Mathews, and Angela Mathews, friends and family are encouraged to join.
