Betty Winchester

Born on February 24,1933,  to Lei Murphey and Dollie E Doramus in Filer Idaho, the first of 7 children. The family lived in Magic Valley until she was 9 years of age, when they moved to a farm south of Kuna Idaho. She graduated from Kuna high school in 1951. She married Richard H Raynor, November 1, 1952, at Bowmont Church of the Brethren. They moved to Boise and had three children. She was a stay at home housewife until 1967 when she went to work at various office jobs. They divorced in 1974. She went to work as office manager in a real estate office after the divorce and got her real estate license then brokers license. She married Bruce K Winchester on  December 24, 1989, at Mountain View Church of the Brethren. She had that occupation until she retired.

She belonged to Eastern Star, Toastmasters, Business and Professional Women and Soroptomist organizations, she was a charter member of Mountain View Church of the Brethren and a member there until she passed away.

She is survived by two brothers, Abijah L Murphey (the Dalles Oregon) and Ronnie L Murphey (Texas), two daughters Rebecca L Eilers (Eagle) and Terri L Raynor (Boise) and a son Joel L Raynor (Boise), five grandchildren, Wesley Eilers, Roxanne Eilers Jeremy Raynor, Gregory Raynor and Kevin Raynor. There are 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, one sister, three brothers and one great grandson, her husband Bruce and ex husband Richard.

Memorials may be made to Boise Valley Church of the Brethren building fund or brethren disaster ministries.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Drive, Garden City, Idaho.
