Beulah Greene Hughes, age 84, of the Windom community, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 at The Greens of Spruce Pine. She was an interviewer with the WIC Program at the Yancey County Health Department for over 25 years. She enjoyed doing puzzles and word search, playing Rummy, and going to yard sales. Beulah's greatest accomplishment was her family who she cherished with all her heart. She will be deeply missed by them all.

She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26th in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Her son-in-law, Rev. David Garland, will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27th in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Service with private burial to follow in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to send a special thank you to her special caregiver, Daisy, and special staff including Tammy, April and Erica at The Greens of Spruce Pine for their wonderful, loving care.
