Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Niles on Dec. 22, 2025.
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly D. Allison, age 74, who passed peacefully at home on December 18, 2025, in her hometown of Dowagiac, Michigan. Beverly lived a life full of devotion, hard work, and love for her family and friends.
Born on August 31, 1951, to the late Howard and Gladys (Wysocki) Allison, Beverly was grounded in the values of hard work, resilience, and loyalty. A proud graduate of Dowagiac High School, she went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from Southwestern Michigan College, always pushing herself to learn and grow.
Beverly was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who always put her family above all else. Her daughter, Tracy Hoglund, and grandchildren, Jade (Dillon) Matz- Gagnon and great-granddaughter Brexley Matz-Gagnon, along with an expected great- grandchild, were the lights of her life. Whether through heart-to-heart conversations or simply spending time together, Beverly's love for her family was unwavering, and her presence in their lives will be cherished forever.
Beverly is survived by her sister, Joyce (Ed) Owens, whose strength and love continue to honor Beverly's memory, as well as two nephews, Larry (Debbie) Daus and Jeff (Gloria-Jean) Allison, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly. Beverly was predeceased by her beloved brother, Gary Allison, and her sister, Patricia Rhodes.
A woman of quiet strength, Beverly was always the first to offer help when needed, finding ways to get things done no matter the challenge. She was more reserved in nature, but once you got to know her, you knew just how special she was. Her loyalty and support were unwavering, and she would do anything for the people she loved.
Beverly had a gift for listening. Many turned to her for guidance and comfort, knowing she would always offer a listening ear without judgment. She was a trusted confidant, and her ability to hear others out and offer thoughtful advice made her a steady and comforting presence in the lives of all who knew her.
In her free time, Beverly enjoyed spending time with her family and tackling projects around the house-there was always something to be done, and she took pride in staying busy and keeping her home warm and inviting. She also had a great passion for tennis and racquetball, where her energy and enthusiasm brought joy to all who played with her. Whether on the court or in life, Beverly's spirit of determination and fun was always evident.
A visitation to celebrate Beverly's life will be held on Saturday, December 27 from 2-4 pm, at Brown Funeral Home.
Though she is no longer with us, Beverly's legacy of love, hard work, and support will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will never be forgotten.
