Beverly Louise Berry, age 93, of Adrian, MI, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Brookdale Assisted Living Facility in Adrian, MI. Beverly was born on November 30, 1931, in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Kenneth Arthur and Mildred Retta (Otis) Smith. She was a 1949 graduate of Sand Creek High School. On October 30, 1950, Beverly was joined in marriage with the late William Robert Berry Sr. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blissfield, MI. She was employed for twenty-two years as a sewing machine operator at the General Motors Tecumseh Plant until she retired in 1987.
Beverly was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Adrian, MI., She also was active member of numerous other groups, including the Guadalupe Society, St. Vincent de Paul, and the U.A.W. Local 1341. She also served as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. Beverly enjoyed traveling and camping, especially with her family, and cooking holiday meals and taking care of her home. She loved her children, their families, and was always involved in their activities.
Beverly is survived by her children, William R. (Melissa) Berry Jr. of Tipton MI, and Kenneth S. (Mary) Berry of Adrian, MI; grandchildren, Kristie (Gary) Nissen, Beth Jones, Kasey Jo Reiser-Berry, Sarah (Brian) Morgan, and Rachel Wegner; great-grandchildren, Aulora Jerrel, William Nissen, Jack, Max, Hanna and Charlie Morgan, and Damien Slick.
In addition to her husband, William, Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jeffrey, and a beloved grandson, Brandon K. Berry.
Visitation for Beverly will be held from 9:00 am – 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. A memorial service will follow at 11am with Father Tom Helfrich presiding. Final resting place will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian, MI at a later date. Memorial contributions in Beverly's honor may be made to Gentiva Hospice of Jackson, Michigan.
