Beverly J. Sievers, of New Brighton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

Beverly was born on August 2, 1930, in Minneapolis to Buerdett and Marguerite (Scanlon) Sievers. She grew up in Minneapolis, graduated from Roosevelt High School, and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. From an early age, Beverly felt called to serve young people, a calling that shaped her entire life.

She began her career as a Youth Organizer at the Minneapolis Catholic Youth Center, where she spent 15 years supporting youth ministry programs and forming lasting connections with countless families. She later became a kindergarten teacher at Stevenson Elementary School in Fridley, where she taught for 25 years. Beverly took tremendous pride in her work and was honored throughout her career for her dedication to youth ministry, her leadership, and her meaningful impact on students and the community.

A woman of deep faith, Beverly was a devoted member of St. William’s Catholic Church in Fridley for 60 years. She spent most of her life in the Fridley and New Brighton communities, where she formed cherished friendships and remained active in parish life. Beverly loved reading, sharing stories, sending thoughtful cards, and most of all, spending time with her family. Her life was richly filled with love, faith, and fulfillment through her vocation as an educator.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Buerdett and Marguerite (Scanlon) Sievers; her brother, Dr. Farrell (Patricia) Sievers; and her sister, Marguerite (Robert) Schoen. She is survived by her 11 nieces and nephews; 19 great-nieces and nephews; and 8 great-great nieces.
