Beverly J. Beyer

Verona – Beverly J. Beyer, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Milestone Senior Living in Cross Plains, WI. She was born in Madison, WI, on June 10, 1937, the daughter of William and Carolyn (Kuntz) Cox. Beverly graduated in 1955 from Edgewood High School in Madison. She was hired by the City of Verona as clerk/treasurer in December of 1978, and she worked for the city until her retirement on January 8th, 1999. After her retirement, Beverly continued to support the Verona community and would attend many of the plays that were put on by the Verona High School. Beverly was an avid and committed quilter and sewer. She enjoyed being outside and tending to her garden. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Beverly is survived by her children, Keri (Chris) Zentko, Joseph Beyer, and Matthew (Becky) Beyer; grandchildren, Amanda DelVecchio, Lindsey Zentko, Colton (Ali) Washburn, McKenzie (Patrick) Moore, and Kollyn Beyer; a sister-in-law, Judy Cox; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Carolyn "Kitty" Cox; brother, William Cox Jr., and ex-husband, Joseph Beyer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, November 17, 2023, at ST. ANDREW CATHOLIC CHURCH, 301 N Main St, Verona, with Msgr. Kevin Holmes presiding. A visitation will be held from 10am until the time of the Mass.
